Support For Family Obligations / Emergency
- Has your spouse been away for training, on exercise, or on deployment for the past few months?
- Are you going through a difficult time?
- Are you exhausted?
- Are your current childcare options no longer sufficient (drop-in care, experienced sitters, family, friends, resource lists, etc.)?
To help families experiencing stress related to child care, various child care services are offered by the CRFMV to all military personnel at Valcartier Base. Please note that certain eligibility criteria apply.
To apply, contact the CRFMV’s designated case manager so they can assess your needs.
Since child care is primarily a parental responsibility, the preventive component of the service encourages Canadian Armed Forces members to develop an Emergency Child Care Plan (ECCP). This plan will be kept at the unit for use as needed.
If this plan fails or requires time to implement, the Family Obligation Support Service will be available.
This service should be viewed as a safety net for your planning and should be used as a last resort.
Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for children of all ages.
